Ums gleich vorab zu sagen. Wer auf diesem Album etwas in der Art von STRANGERS ON A TRAIN erwartet, liegt falsch. "From ignorance to ecstasy" bietet eher poprockigen Progrock (mit Prog hat's ehrlich gesagt nicht viel zu tun), der niemals banal oder kitschig abdriftet. Beinharte Prog-Enthusiasten jedoch auch nicht hinter dem Taktzähler hervorlockt. Das Album ist von vorne bis hinten nett anzuhören, der orchestral-hymnische Schlußtrack Behind the scenes ist wohl das, was man aus Sicht der End-90er am ehesten von Tracy Hitchings erwartet hätte.

Sehr nett, schnörkellos und gut gemacht. Um sich dauerhaft in meinem CD Player festsetzen zu können, fehlen der Scheibe klare Akzente. 5 Punkte

Most people might know TRACY HITCHINGS from STRANGES ON A TRAIN. Verglas Music now have released her album "From ignorance to ecstasy", which was recorded back in 1991. If you're expecting songs like STRANGERS ON A TRAIN - either the soft ones or the harder ones - you won't get lucky with this album. "From ignorance to ecstasy" contains poprockin' progrock (not many prog elements by the way) which is very nice to hear in the background, but cleary lacks of highlights and developing structures for dedicated listening. Fans of TRACY HITCHINGs should check it out anyway. 5 points
