Der US-Songschreiber Angie Aparo verblüft mich mit einem melodischen und grundehrlichen Rockalbum.

Intelligent, aufrichtig, diversifiziert, melodisch feinfühlig, niemals aufdringlich .... so könnte man "The American" umschreiben. Angie Aparo zaubert über die gesamten 51 Minuten weich umschmeichelnder Rock mit tollen Refrains, dezenten Keyboards, angenehmer Verwabertheit und charismatischer Intensität aus dem Hut. Angie's Stimme ist klar, warm und egal ob balladesk (z.B. das mit Streichern verzierte Cry) oder laut ... sie wirkt; ein Sachverhalt der dank der Lyrics noch unterstrichen wird. Es fällt schwer, aus diesem kompakten Album einzelne Songs herauszugreifen; als albumtypische Anspieltips empfehlen sich aber Hush und The gravity.

ANGIE APARO wird zurecht als "Street poet of the 21st century" bezeichnet. Tolles Album für Freunde ruhiger und feinsinniger Rockmusik. Wertung: 7

A great album for fans of melodic, emotional and ambient rock is the album "The american" of ANGIE APARO. The songwriter has travelled a lot and as his vision is "Communicating, creating - that's what I have to do" the label calls him a "street poet of the 21st century". If you love sensitive rock music with emotional intensity, good lyrics, decent but effective effects, then you should give Angie Aparo the chance to communicate with you ! 7 points
