Das dritte Album dieser außergewöhnliche US-Band ist ein rein instrumentales Meisterwerk progressiver Kunst. Die Musik entwickelt sich stets, dreht sich kontinierlich weiter, entfaltet weite Räume und pendelt eigentlich dauernd zwischen mitreissendem Jazzprog, Prog-Improvisation und wunderschönen Harmonien, die insbesondere von Trompete, Saxophon oder Violine in gänsehautfördernde Ekstase gesteigert werden ... alleine The family... rechtfertigt die sofortige Kontaktaufnahme mit dem guten Mike und die Bestellung der CD.

Sorry, aber gegen dieses Instrumentalwerk erscheinen SMPT wie selbstverliebte, ideenlose Amateure.
FRENCH TV ist ZAPPA meets AFTER CRYING meets KING CRIMSON meets Jazz meets beautiful melodic rock.
Fesselnder Ohrenschmaus und daher uneingeschränkte Höchstpunktzahl ! Leute ... Pflichtkauf !

FRENCH TV is the project of bass player MIKE SARY, existing since 1983. The third album "Virtue on futility" of this exceptional band from the USA is a masterpiece of instrumental progressive art. The music is evolving all the time, creating wide landscapes and roaming among jazzprog, prog improvisation and beautiful harmonies which are carried by trumpet, sax and violin to ecstatic heights. FRENCH TV is ZAPPA meets AFTER CRYING meets KING CRIMSON meets melodic rock. Sorry to say that, but compared to FRENCH TV SMPT sound like amateurs without ideas. There's no way to get around this album. Great !
