Laren d'Or "War Of Angels" english summary

Hinter dem Pseudonym Laren d'Or verbirgt sich der ungarische Komponist und Keyboarder Attila Héger, der sich seine Brötchen vornehmlich als Komponist von Soundtracks für diverse Videopspiele verdient.

Aber nun mal keine Angst, "War Of Angels" hat weder mit zappeligem Game-Boy-Gedudele noch mit schnarchigen New-Age-Sounds etwas zu tun. Stattdessen gibt es elektronische Musik, die sich ohne Bedenken das Prädikat "symphonisch" verdient. Das Album enthält zwei Arten von Songs, auf der einen Seite Titel, bei denen die klassisch-symphonische Komponenten deutlich dominieren und die völlig ohne Drum-Sequenzen auskommen und auf anderen eben rhythmus-orientierte Trax, bei denen aber die kompositorische Tiefe trotzdem nicht zu kurz kommt. Im Gegensatz zur Ursprunsgs-Version dieses Albums aus dem Jahre 1997 gibt es mittlerweile eine - allerdings nur über das Internet verfügbare - Version als Doppel-CD. Neben der Musik übrigens auch noch ein grosses Lob für das Artwork.

Ein Album, dass sich nicht hinter den Werken von Tangerine Dream, Vangelis und Co verstecken muss. Wertung: 8

Laren d'Or is the pseudonym of the Hungarian artist Attila Héger who is working in the field of creating soundtrax for videogames. But no fear, "War Of Angels" has neither to do with stupid gameboy sounds nor with boring new age music. Instead of these the listener will get some electronic music that really deserved the title "symphonic". There are two kinds of trax an the album, on one hand classic-orientated songs without any drum sequences and on the other more rhythm-orientated trax, but a great songwriting you will find for both. In contrast to the origin version of these album from the year 1997 "War Of Heaven" is now available as a double CD via the internet. By the way a great compliment for the artwork too. At the end of the day a record in the tradition of the best works of artists like Tangerine Dream 8 points
