Dario Mollo aus Italien hatte bereits mit "The Cage" ein recht erfolgreiches Projekt am Start, für das er immerhin Leute wie Tony Martin (Black Sabbath - Sänger) oder Keyboarder Don Airey (Rainbow, Whitesnake oder Ten) verpflichten konnte. Nun also Voodoo Hill und dieses Mal gelang es ihm, keinen Geringeren als Glenn Hughes für die Vocals zu gewinnen.

Herausgekommen ist eine gelungene Hard-Rock-Scheibe, von der ich mir gut vorstellen könnte, dass sich viele Glenn Hughes - Fans ein solches Solo-Album von ihem Idol gewünscht hätten. Mal schnell, mal stampfend und natürlich auch mal balladesk präsentieren sich die Songs der CD, die neben neuen Eigenkompositionen mit "The Gypsy" auch ein Deep Purple - Cover enthält. Da Dario Mollo das Album auch in seinem eigenen Studio selbst produziert hat, geht auch der Sound voll in Ordnung.

After the "Cage" project Dario Mollo from Italy is back with an new album. Voodoo Hill again features an well know rock artist, in this case on lead vocals we find the voice of rock Glenn Hughes. Voodoo Hill is an recommendable hard rock album featuring nine new compositions of Dario as well as the Deep Purple cover Gypsy. Dario Mollo was also responsible for the production, and so also the sound is very professional. Good job. 7 points
