Wolf "Wolf" english summary

Das schwedische Metalquartett WOLF präsentiert mit "Wolf" ihr Debutalbum.

Eigentlich reicht folgende Katorisierung: rauher, schneller old school-Heavy Metal der 80er-Kategorie mit leichten melodic Speedmetal-Anleihen. Die 4 Schweden verstehen es, diese Zutaten zu einer zwar nicht neuen, aber immer wieder guten Mischung zusammenzurühren. Vor allem das schnelle und melodische Moonlight, das orientalisch-stampfende Electric Raga, das Instrumental 245 und das groove-rockende und einfallsreiche In the Eyes of the Sun zeigen, daß No Fashion Records gut daran getan haben, auf diese Undergroundband zu setzen.

Das Album ist während der gesamten 39 Minuten auf gleichbleibend gutem Niveau ... und genau damit habe ich ein Problem, denn irgendwie vermisse ich aber den entscheidenden Album-Highlight. Dennoch: Metalheads sollten sich den Name "Wolf" schon mal warmhalten ! Wertung: 6

WOLF is a swedish old-school metal band, presenting their self-entitled debut "Wolf". The 4 guys know, how to take incredients like "raw", "fast", "old school metal" and "melodic speedmetal" and mix them to a good mixture which is not new ... but good ! Especially the fast and melodic Moonlight, the oriental-poundering Electric Raga , the instrumental 245 and the groove-rockin' In the eyes of the sun show, that No Fashion Records were right to invest in this underground band. After 39 minutes and the end of the CD I miss an album highlight .... nethertheless ... a good album. 6 points
