Alliance "In Control" english summary

Die Finnen von ALLIANCE stellen mit "In control" ihr selbstproduziertes Debut vor.

Die 3-Track umfassende EP bietet melodischen Heavy Metal in Reinkultur: keine Keyboards, dafür aber zwei Rhythmusgitarren. Mit When it is over schleicht sich gleich der erste Track in gemächlicher RAVEN-Manier in die Ohren und setzt sich dort fest. Schnörkelloser, sanft gestimmter Metal, der niemals in hastiges oder ultrahartes Riffing verfällt, sondern schnurstracks geradlinig sämtliche Songs ins Ziel schaukelt, ohne dabei zu langweilen. Einziges Manko ist der etwas ausdruckslose Gesang, den man ruhig noch ein wenig kräftiger in Szene setzen hätten können, macht aber nix, denn man hört der CD an, daß hier der Spaß am Metal zählt ... und das kommt bei den zahlreichen Midtempo-Mosh-Passagen ziemlich gut rüber !

ALLIANCE sind eine vielversprechende Band, denn nicht jede Band liefert so gute Song gleich beim Debüt ab. Wertung: 5

"In control" is the self-produced debut of the finnish band ALLIANCE. This EP contains 3 tracks with melodic heavy metal straight from the stomach. When it is over hooks right into your ear and neck muscles from the very first seconds ... straight, hard, dirty and heavy ... powered by two rhythm guitars instead of a keyboard. Every song has its own cool midtempo-mosh-section so ALLIANCE's only weak point are the vocals that are not carrying enough expression. Nethertheless: ALLIANCE are a highly promising band ... there are not many bands out there who release such a good debut demo. 5 points
