Selten ist progressive Rockmusik so frisch, so akustisch, so warm, so unter die Haut gehend wie auf "Before an audience of stars". ARISE OF THORNS vereinen Elemente aus nachdenklichem Rock und schwebendem Akustik-Prog, sodaß man meint, man hätte es mit einer akustisch-gelaunten Mischung aus Bands wie MERLONS, LISA LOEB, HEATHER NOVA, THE GATHERING, TORI AMOS und MOSTLY AUTUMN zu tun. Stehene E-Gitarre-Töne, ein über allem thronender weiblicher Gesang, quirlig erholsame Melodien, hervorragendes Akustik-Gitarre-Spiel, romantische Harmonien ... 70 Minuten, die runtergehen wie Öl.

Balsam für die Prog-Seele ... eine ausnahmslose Spitzenscheibe mit Herz, Liebe und toller Ausstrahlung.

ARISE FROM THORNS (now renamed into BRAVE) are a rising star in the fields of acoustic progrock. Progressive music isn't that emotional, that warm, that "straight into the heart" like on "Before an audience of stars". ARISE OF THORNS can be compared to a melting pot of the following bands: MERLONS (medieval atmosphere), LISA LOEB/HEATHER NOVA, THE GATHERING (the early albums), TORI AMOS and MOSTLY AUTUMN. Long guitar tunes, spectacular female vocals, dynamic and comnfortable melodies, great acoustic guitar and romantic harmonies make this album a great experience and a pillow for your soul ! This is big music !
