Aus der Undergroundschmiede von STONE PREMONITIONS erreichte uns der neue Output von CENSUS OF HALLUCINATIONS.

Rezension

Auf dem Programm steht wieder einmal psychedelisch angehauchter Indirock mit leicht alternativem Einschlag. Der Facettenreichtum reicht von langsamen getragenen Stücken (Spiral arms), über dramatisch strukturierte Percussion-Stücke mit gesprochenen Einlagen (Land of mirrors), akustische Tracks (Ignorance insane), düstere Tracks mit gesampelten Schreien (Death Row), harmonische Tracks mit Slideguitar (Where will I be, Earth song). Gesanglich werden keine Höchstleistungen erzielt, jedoch auch keine Ziele verfehlt.

 
Fazit

Alles in allem ein rundum netter Underground-Release für Fans von leicht psychedelischem variantenreichem Indi-Rock zwischen New Age und Alternative Flowerpower-Rock.

Summary

CENSUS OF HALLUCINATIONS are a psychedelic indi-rock band with a slight touch of alternative rock. What you get on this release are slow'n'sensitive songs like Spiral arms, dramatic percussion pieces (Land of mirrors), acoustic tracks (Ignorance insane), a dark track with sampled screams (Death row), tracks with slideguitar (Were will I be, Earth song). The vocals are the weak point of this album ... they are not able to add a leading element to the songs. Over all it's a nice underground release for fans of soft psychedelic indi-rock, somewhere between new age and alternative flowerpower-rock. 5 points
