Martin Watson "Mobile" english summary

Acht instrumentale Songs, Spieldauer knapp 26 Minuten, so präsentiert sich das Instrumentalalbum "Mobile", welches Martin Watson aus San Diego anscheinend im Alleingang produziert hat, zumindest findet man im kleinen Booklet keine Hinweise dazu.

Nun denn, rein instrumentale Alben können entweder begeistern, oder eben auch nicht. Im Falle von Martin Watson trifft wohl eher das zweite zu. Die acht kurzen Songs auf "Mobile" sind sehr unterschiedlich und erinnern ein wenig an Anton Zinkl, vielleicht nicht ganz so schräg wie der Computerfreak aus München. Und es ist durchaus möglich, das Mr. Watson einige viele Töne per Computer eingespielt hat. Das Gefühl hat man vor allen Dingen bei "Running Man" und "Song of Holly", die aber mit zum besten gehören, was die kurze CD zu bieten hat. 

Ein Album, welches man nicht unbedingt haben muss, ist auch nicht nötig, denn unter http://www.mp3.com/martinwatson kann sich das ganze Album runterladen. Wertung: 4

8 instrumental tracks, 26 minutes. That's the instrumental album "Mobile" by Martin Watson from San Diego. Instrumental albums can be great ... or not. This one tends to be an "is not". The songs on "Mobile" are quite different from each other and sometimes reminded me of the Munich computer freak Anton Zinkl. The album sounds like Martin Watson extensively used the computer for producing the sounds, so for my taste the album sounds a by synthethic.
