SILENT FORCE, deren Frontmann DC Cooper vielen von Euch noch von seiner Zeit bei ROYAL HUNT bekannt sein dürfte, legen mit "Infatuator" einen Albumtitel vor, der von der Knackigkeit des Albumtitels eigentlich nur an eine Band denken lassen ...

.... stimmt genau. JUDAS PRIEST ! Die Musik holzt und prasselt, daß man einige Male wirklich an die zweite Schaffensperiode der britischen Legende denken muss. Natürlich sorgt der einige Male mehrstimmige Gesang von DC Cooper sowie die symphonischen Einlagen an Gitarre und Keyboards eher für ein melodisches Powermetal-Ereignis als für eines der NWOBHM. Macht aber nix, denn SILENT FORCE liefern grundsolide Metalkost für Haupthaarschüttler, die's auch ab und wann mal melodisch mögen. Besonders hörenswert sind das vielschichtige Hear me calling, die Speedhymne Promised land und das JUDAS PRIEST-Cover All guns blazing (aber trotzdem nix gegen das Original).

Ein ordentliches Album, das jedoch - vor allem bzgl. der Melodien - nicht genug zündet, um eine "7" zu rechfertigen.

Ex-ROYAL HUNT shouter DC Coopr now sings at SILENT FORCE. "Infutuator" is the title of their new album and during some tracks the metal is so fast and so hammering that one name comes to my mind ... JUDAS PRIEST. The great vocals of DC Cooper and the symphonic elements coming from guitars and keyboards turn this album into a melodic powermetal release. SILENT FORCE deliver solid metal with melodic and symphonic ingredients. At some points the melodies are not hooky enough the dig this album into the ear of every metal fan but overall ... a good album with some very good tracks (Hear me calling, the speed hymn Promised lan and a coverversion of All guns blazing).
