This is not a clichee-gothic compilation, but a great work full of emotional melancholic music. The spectre of this album is wide: alternativ gothic (AUTUMNBLAZE, PARAGON OF BEAUTY), dark progmetal (DORNENREICH sound like a mixture of ETERNAL SADNESS and MERLONS), trip-hopin' melancholy with acoustic guitar (NAERVAER), electronic suicidrock (BETLEHEM reminded me of bands like RAMMSTEIN and HEADCRASH), dark folk (ORPLID, OF THE WAND AND THE MOON), darkwave (SOTS), mystic folkrock (TENHI), beautiful folk coming out of the fog with acoustic guitar and flute (EMPYRIUM), gothic-metal (BLAZING ETERNITY) and Monumental Rock (IN THE WOODS).
2 tracks are some kind of average (IN THE WOODS, PARAGON OF BEAUTY) , but overall "To magic ... 2" is a phenomenal journey for fans of dark and romantic sophisticated music ! 8 points
