"Send me an angel" ist der zweite Release von VISION DIVINE, der Band um RHAPSODY-Sängr Fabio Lione und LABYRINTH-Gitarrist Olaf Thörsen. VISION DIVINE haben trockenen, melodischen Powerprogmetal im Angebot, der rein instrumental gesehen durchaus begeistern kann, denn es gibt saftige Keyboardsoli, kraftvolle Epic-Passagen, symphonische Elemente wie auch straighten Drive. Wäre ja alles schön und gut, wenn da nicht die einfallslosen und uninspirierten Gesangslinien wären, die nicht während eines einzigen Songs über die gesamte Dauer versöhnlich stimmen können. Und so kommt es, daß die einzig begeisternden Tracks dieses Albums ein Instrumental (Nemesis) und eine Coverversion (AHA's Take on me) sind.

Nicht überall, wo "features members of LABYRINTH and RHAPSODY" draufsteht, ist 1A-Qualität drin.

"Send me an angel" is the second release of VISION DIVINE, showing that this is not a "one-time-project". VISION DIVINE is a band grouped around RHAPSODY vocalist Fabio Lione and LABYRINTH-guitarplayer Olaf Thörsen.
The music on "Send me an angel" is melodic power-progmetal, a bit similar to ATHENA. Instrumentally this album is great, offering great keyboard solos, powerful epic parts, symphonic elements and straight metal inclinations mixed with melodic progmetal. Just listen to The call and you know what I mean ! Sounds like a great album ? Unfortunately not ! Every song has instrumental highlights and good drive, the vocal lines of the choruses are well done, but during the remaining parts of most the songs the vocal lines are too weak, too boring and too often heard Fabio-style in order to be able to place big hooks. And so the two lonely stunners of this album are an instrumental track (Nemesis) and a cover version (Take on me).
