Wicked Mystic "The paramount question" english summary

5 Mannen aus den Niederlanden, WICKED MYSTIC ihr Name, versprechen mit ihrem Debüt "The Paramount question" progressiven Powermetal.

Ja hoppla. Was da aus den Boxen föhnt ist thrashiger Powermetal. Da keine Keyboards an Bord sind, beschränkt sich das "progressiv" auf abwechslungsreiche Kompositionen. Macht aber nix, denn die Scheibe bringt alle Songs druckvoll über die Ziellinie. Technisch perfekte Gitarrenarbeit, druckvoller Sound, thrashiger Bass, treffsichere (klare) Vocals und nette Einschübe (z.B. während Shadow dancer, Depth of mind) dürften diese CD zu einem Liebling im Plattenschrank aller Fans von technisch versiertem und abwechslungsreichem Powermetal-Thrash machen.

Für die Progrock/Melodik-Metal-Fraktion gilt: Finger weg. Powermetaller und Fans von hartem Progmetal (ohne Keyboards) dürften das eine oder andere Juwel entdecken. Da mir das Teil für meinen Geschmack zu thrashig ist, gibts subjektive 4 Punkte. Wertung: 4

5 men from the Netherlands, WICKED MYSTIC their name, have produced their debut "The paramount question". WICKED MYSTIC play a combination of thrashmetal and powermetal. As there are no keyboards the only progressive element of this album are the varied compositions. Progrockers and melodic metalheads should keep their fingers off this album, but fans of hard powermetal and thrash metal get perfect guitarplaying, powerful sound, thrashy bass, precise (and clean) vocals and some very nice ideas (i.e. during Shadow dancer and Depth of mind). 4 points
