TANNER und MAD MAX Gitarrist Doc Heyne und Fernando sind BISS, ein neues Projekt im Hardrock-getränkten Heavymetal-Fahrwasser. Der Opener Circle of time ist ein vielversprechender Rocker, God bringt Midtempo Metalrock mit eingängigem Refrain ans Gehör. Electricity lässt sogar Erinnerungen an KROKUS und VICTORY aufkommen. Songs wie Religion sind jedoch symptomatisch für das gesamte Album ... gute Ideen und kurz aufblitzende Melodien, die zu weitaus mehr fähig gewesen wären und in uninspirierten Refrains oder zu polierten Gesangslinien untergehen. Insofern hat sich bei mir nix verändert, denn mit VICTORY hatte ich exakt dieselben Probleme.

Trockener Metalrock mit einem einzigen Highlight ... der FALCO-Covrversion Rock me amadeus.

Fernando Garcia might be know to those of you with memories as long as their golden hair ... remember german metal band VICTORY ? Fernando was their vocalist. Doc Heyne
played guitars with TANNER and MAD MAX. BISS is the name of their new project, and hardrock-drained heavy metal is the style. The opener Circle of time is a fast
rocker, God is a midtempo hardrockin' metal track with catchy chorus and melodic bridge. Electricity is another melodic metal rocker, pretty much in
KROKUS and VICTORY style. Agony brings in a dark ballad. The track Pain is reminding me of early tracks of LIVING COLOUR, combined with heavyrock. The track Religion is typical for the entire album ... great ideas and short blends of great melodies drown either in uninspired chorus-melodies or
uncatchy or too straight vocal lines ... I had the similar problems with VICTORY. After listening to the album one track stands tall ... the great cover-version of FALCO's Rock me amadeus.
