Hush "II" english summary

Nachdem das Debüt von Hush im Jahre 1997 in Europa noch bei Point erschien, sind sie mit dem zweiten Album auch bei Frontiers gelandet, dem Label, das sich in kürzester Zeit zum Marktführer in Sachen Melodic Rock entwickelt und deutsche Konkurrenz wie MTM deutlich abgehängt hat. Mit dem Albumtitel hat man sich nicht gerade viel Mühe gegeben, was das Songmaterial angeht, sieht es erfreulicherweise schon besser aus. Immerhin hat man es geschafft, mit "Don't Turn Around" einen Song mit enormen Ohrwurmpotential auf den Silberling zu löten, und auch was man darüberhinaus abliefert, verdient zumindest das Prädikat "im grünen Bereich", wobei es Hush verstehen, das Album für das Genre erstaunlich abwechslungsreich zu gestalten. Produziert wurden die zehn Songs in Toronto von Murray Eagle (Emerald Rain), und auch soundtechnisch ist das Resultat ok.

After releasing the debut of Hush in 1997 in Europe via Point, HUSH is now an Frontiers signed band. The title of the soncond album of the band is not very originl, but who cares, so far the music works. „Don't Turn Around“ is an extraordinary catchy tune and also the other tracks are in an more than only acceptable range. Besides the album is more varied than most of the genre releases. Murray Eagle (Emerals Rain) was responsible for the sound and he did an good job too! 6 points
