Im März 2001 legten 3 russische Musiker ihre Kreativkraft zusammen und gründeten Solaris Music. Das erste Projekt dieser Gemeinschaft hört auf den Namen LUX ETERNA und versucht sich an der Kombination von orchestralem Sound und Metal.
| Rezension |
Das Album scheint ein Konzeptalbum zu sein, dessen Stationen die Erde von der Entstehung bis zur Apokalypse begleitet. Während der ersten Hälfte präsentiert sich "lux Eterna" nahezu aussschließlich als e-Gitarre-basiertes Instrumentalalbum. Auf Genesis gibts tolle Orchesteratmosphäre mit russischem Einschlag. Selbiges gilt für das Synthesizer-getränkte Boiling earth, Birth of nature sorgt für bluesige Athmosphäre, ist jedoch ein nicht gerade gelungender Track. Mit Flight of soul ist der erste Track mit Gesang am Start, dummerweise ist der Gesang alles andere als gelungen. Die Vocals sind dünn, unpräzise und absolut ohne jegliche Atmosphäre. Schade, denn instrumentell ist die Nummmer recht gut. Love ist eine Ballade mit Piano, weiten Keyboards und guten weiblichen Vocals. Nations lässt Ethno-Chöre auf aggressive Synthesizer , dramatische Percussion, transzendentale Atmosphäre und akustische Gitarren treffen ... Klasse ! Schnellen Melodic Metal gibts mit Envy auf die Ohren. Ingesamt bekommt das Album noch die Kurve.

Wer auf gute Instrumental-E-Gitarre-Alben mit einem Hauch von Orchester-Einlagen steht und ein paar Vocaltracks verkraften kann, kann sich die Scheibe ja mal anhören.

| Summary |
In the March of 2001 three russian musicians united their creative force and founded Solaris Music. The first project is called LUX ETERNA trying to combine
orchestral sound with metal. The album seems to be a concept album ... covering the story of earth from its creation (Genesis) to it's end (Apocalypse).
During the first half (tracks 1,2,3,5) this album is an instrumental e-guitar album. On Genesis you get great orchestral atmosphere and you can
strongly feel, that this music is of russian origin. The same goes for the great synth-stenched Boiling earth. Birth of nature brings in some
bluesy tunes, but this track is not convincing. Flight of soul is the first track with vocals but unfortunately the vocals are not convincing at all,
they are not precise and can't build up atmosphere. Instrumentally this is a very strong and great progmetal track. Love is a ballad with piano, wide
keyboards, very good female vocals and sensitive orchestral sound. Nations features ethnic choirs and collides them with agressive synthesizers
, dramatic percussion, transcendental atmosphere and great acoustic guitar ... suberp track ! Envy is a fast melodic metal track with strong and
aggressive guitar and neoclassic melodies. Invasion is a dark and dramatic instrumental guitar piece about ... you guess it ... Invasion from space.
Apocalypse is a dark track, again. Lux eterna is a melodic and soft orchestral track with atmospheric female vocals.
If you like good instrumental e-guitar albums with a slight touch of orchestral arrangements and some vocal tracks, you should check out this release.
