Pulse "Pulse" english summary

Pulse ist zunächst das Baby von Gitarrist Vince O'Regan, der schon seit etwa zwanzig Jahren im Geschäft ist. Er arbeite vor etwa einem Jahr als Live-Gitarrist für Bob Catley und in dieser Zeit sind auch die Ideen für das vorliegende Album entstanden, an dem auch einige Musiker aus dem Bob Catley/Magnum/Hard Rain - Umfeld mitwirkten, vor allem muss aber wohl der Sänger Simon Abbots erwähnt werden, der gemeinsam mit Vince auch für das Songwriting verantwortlich war. Das Ergebnis ist durchaus erfreulich, zwölf Melodic Rock Songs, die es insgesamt auf die Spielzeit von einer knappen Stunde bringen. Man bewegt sich zwar ausschließlich innerhalb der Genregrenzen, das aber immer gekonnt.

PULSE is primarly the baby of guitarplayer Vince O'Regan. Vince is in the business for about twenty years and was the life guitarrist for Bob Catley some time ago. During this perion most of the material for this record was written, beside Vince I would like to mention vocalist Simon Abbots, who was - together with Vince - responsible for the songwriting. The result is an successfull melodic rock album, twelve tracks and a running time of one hour. PULSE is not breaking new ground, but competent inside the genre. 6 points
