Shy "Break Away" english summary

Das Debüt von Shy kam bereits 1983 in die Läden, in den Achtzigern veröffentlichte man insgesamt vier Alben, die Neunziger sahen - wie für die meisten Melodic Rock Acts - dann eher trübe aus, auch wenn es 1994 noch ein weiteres neues Album gab. Jetzt plant man also das Comback bei Z-Records, wobei es sich in diesem Fall um keine Mogelpackung handelt, da Sänger Tony Mills, Gitarrist Steve Harris, Keyboarder Paddy McKenna und Bassist Roy Davis schon in der Vergangenheit bei Shy spielten. Bevor nun im Frühjahr 2002 mit "Unfinished Business" das neue Studioalbum auf den Markt kommt, veröffentlicht man mit "Breakaway" ein Minialbum. Dieses enthält mit "Breakaway" und "No Other Way" zwei alternative Versionen vom neuen Album, bei den restlichen drei Tracks handelt es sich um Akustik-Versionen von älteren Shy-Alben. Die neuen Songs lassen einiges Erwarten, was "Unfinished Business" angeht, die Akustik-Nummern sind doch recht gewöhnungsbedürftig. Also warten wir auf das Frühjahr...

The first SHY album was released in 1983, in the eighties the band was successfull with four records in all, the fifth release was in 1994 and now the band is working on an comeback via Z Records. Comparing with Tygers Of Pang Tang in case of SHY we have an reunion really so most of the bandmembers were involved in SHY earlier. Before the band will release a new studio output soon, we now have with „Breakaway“ a kind of mini album. The record containes two alternating versions af songs from the upcoming album and acoustic versions of older tracks. The new songs are promising, the acoustic tracks need some time to come in - if you come in. So lets see what the new album will bring... 5 points
