Der Name steht für knackigen und kompromisslosen Powermetal. Der Sound des Albums ist kräftig und druckvoll. Songs wie Stygmatized und The void erinnern and alte Savatage-Nummern im Stile von Taunting cobras oder DOCTOR BUTCHER. Earth children ist ein weiterer Highlight ... eine epische Powermetalnummer mit weiter Melodie und einem tollen Guitar-Solo.

Für den Großteil des DURP-Publikums dürfte diese Scheibe einen Tick zu hart und unmelodisch sein ... Powermetalheads sollten das Teil auf jeden Fall mal probehören.

STYGMA IV still are THE austrian power metal export. The name STYGMA IV guarantees crunchy power metal without any compromise. The sound of the album is strong and powerful. Songs like Stygmatized and The void remind of good old SAVATAGE banger tracks in the style of Taunting cobras and DOCTOR BUTCHER. Earth children is another epic powermetal track with inspired melody and great guitar solo. This album sure is a bit too heavy and unmelodic for the main audience of our website, but fans of crunchy, unpolished powermetal should check this album out. For my taste the vocals and the vocal lines aren't varied enough after the first half of the album.
